Diane Kopp joined the Samaritan Counseling Center as a therapist in 2003. She received her Bachelor of Arts in English Education in 1966, her Master of Arts in American Studies in 1967, and her Master's in Counseling Psychology in 1994. She is licensed as a Michigan Professional Counselor with national certification through the National Board of Certified Counselors (NBCC). She is currently working on her credentials to be a certified play therapist.
Diane's counseling specialty has always been children and families dealing with home and school problems. She began her career as a school counselor in 1994. In addition, she facilitates a Parenting with Love and Logic program, offered four to six times a year in both Berrien and Van Buren County. Diane is a member of both the American and the Michigan Counseling Associations and the American and Michigan Play Therapy Associations.
Furthermore, she has received additional training in working with behavior spectrum disorder children, trauma survivors, and people of all ages with depression and anxiety. Solution-focus principles guide her practice.
