Counseling Fees
The per-session fee for counseling if $150 for the Initial Evaluation, $120 for Individual Counseling, and $135 for Family Counseling. If you have insurance which will cover all or a portion of the cost of service, as a service to you the SCC will file your insurance claim, and will arrange to have your insurer pay us directly. You are responsible for paying your deductible, your co-pay and your insurance co-payment.
If you do not have insurance, your fee may be subsidized based on your ability to pay. The SCC can sometimes accept less than the cost of service because we receive contributions from the United Ways of Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties, churches and private parties, which permit us some flexibility in what we charge clients in need of financial assistance.
Payment is expected at the time of session. If you have no insurance (or cannot afford the co-pay) a reduced fee, based on your family income, may be arranged.
