Melanie Page-Wood is one of the therapists that work at the Samaritan Counseling Center and brings with her over 10 years of counseling experience. She has counseled people of all ages and genders who are struggling with alcohol and drug addictions, eating disorders, self injury, various emotional disorders such as Depression, Anxiety and Bipolar Disorders. She has past experience as a Career Counselor in the Michigan Works programs. She is skilled in both individual and group counseling and has worked in the inpatient and outpatient settings.
Melanie received her Bachelors of Liberal Art degree with a major in Psychology and minor in Criminal Justice. Then got her Masters of Arts in Agency Counseling, both degrees from the University of Detroit Mercy.
Melanie is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Michigan. She also holds a Certification for Advanced Addiction Counseling both in the United States and internationally. She is also on staff at Overflow Church in Benton Harbor, as the WOW Connections Director.
